Backup manager cannot contact FTP server, but I can?

I faced to a weird situation:

My backup manager report that it cannot contact FTP server when I browse the backup listing:

I login to host and try the command provided in error message, but it looks fine with no error;

#curl -v --ftp-pasv -u ftp-migoblue 'ftp://10.250.11.101/./'
Enter host password for user 'ftp-migoblue':

hello, hard to pin point the exact time or issue, BUT in general,
--- basically any task, where I 'save' a setting ---

takes way to long... like a minute plus... just to save any type setting, create something, add something,
change a setting, etc.

NOW, in general, Plesk control panel is very quick and snappy.... however, I've seen this once before
and after a separate...

causes of plesk control panel performance issue (slowness)

Domains not working

Hello;

I just migrated 10 domains to plesk installed on ubuntu 16 one 1 domain seems to work and that is using namecheap DNS the rest are either showing 504 or 502 error message.

Log for 502 error.

3367#0: *343806 recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream nginx error

log for 504

3367#0: *348343 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while SSL handshaking to upstream nginx error

Mod Security Log Files Empty

Hi,
i have noticed that my mod security Log Files are empty.
Nothing happens there.

I restartet, stop & started, disabled, reenabled, changed Modus - nothing.

System:
Plesk Onyx 17.5.3
Debian 8.9

And via SSH it sais, that Service is running.

Any Ideas?
Could it be something with Cron Job?

Intermittent 502 bad gateway on websites when opening passive FTP ports.

Hi we have customers who always ask why they can't connect to FTP and i always have to tell them how to setup their filezilla to use active in the settings instead of the passive default.

When researching how to get it to work on the default passive settings i found some instructions online to open the ports on the plesk firewall and set these ports in the /etc/proftpd.conf then restarting xinetd

These are the instructions that i followed:...

As I can install the latest version of mod_evasive, I think I should do it from ssh because from interface plesk I do not see the option, but since ssh I do not know how to download the latest version use plesk onyx 17

I recently updated Plesk from Odin (v12.x.x) to Onyx (v17). Have Phusion Passenger installed on the prior version. After updating I added NodeJS support too. Everything smoothly went.

I uploaded an app with `package.json` and started, I got NPM Install done; all node modules installed. Still the app is not showing up when I am accessing Application URL.

I tried with a hello world app.js; still not working.

Did a `ps x` and got Passenger Core and Passenger Watchdog in the list. Couldn't...

No NodeJS apps are running.

How can I change the default account email from psaadm@server.tld to another email?

I am using the MSMTP, configured to use an SMTP of zoho.

I did some testing, trying to send mass email (just one email for testing) and I received the following error in mail.err:

Hello

It seems I have a problem sending email with mail() specifically to mail adresses finishing by .team
Mails do not go.

Is ther a thing to specify in any config file for recent tld ?

Fresh Plesk installation not sending mail

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with my fresh plesk installation with Debian 8.
All my mails are not sending from my domains. I think that I have a misconfiguration of postfix service but I'm not sure.

I can receive emails and send to local mail adresses but when I try to send mail to external mails nothing is sent and all emails are stored in Queue. The logfile display a lot of "Connection time out" messages.

Two vitual machines under single control panel

Hi

Is it possible to have two different instances of virtual machines, one for app layer and web server, the other only for database? And manage the database through one control panel?

When I try to add a database, under database servers, I only have localhost.

I found the solution to add database servers. Now if I install MariaDB or MySQL on the other instance manually, I'm good to go?

Does Plesk come with MariaDB pre installed? What if I install MySQL on the other server?

Hi,

I keep receiving hourly an email titled : Cron <root@xxxxx> /usr/bin/kcarectl --auto-update

The IP xxxxxwas already used for trialing on 2017-04-18.

FYI i got a license for 1 year.

Server Hacked, How to fully secure it to avoid the hacking again?

Dears,
Hope you are doing well!

Kindly note that I have Linux server (Centos 7) with Plesk 17 (Onyx) which recently has been hacked.
So, I would like to know the security principle I can apply on the server to avoid the hacking again.

Kindly note that the hacker uses other websites on the server to create symlinks to the rest of the websites and to the root of server, how can we avoid that, please help.

I have disabled perl and python and turned on fail2ban but i didn't have any benefit...

Static Content intermittantly not being served

Hi All,

We are running Plesk Onyx 17 on Windows server 2016 with IIS10 - and as per the attached image, we are getting intermittent issues where Static Content fails to load. If we reload the page, most times the images load successfully.

I have seen this issue before on a Server 2012 instance - the fix in that scenario was to add this to the web.config file:
