How to migrate from cPanel to Plesk on same server?

Hi,

I did a search of the sub for "migrate" and "migration" but found nothing. I hope someone can help me.

I've used cPanel for the last 20 years but their latest pricing changes are predatory and I'm looking to move away ASAP.

Plesk being the next most popular panel is of course an easy transition choice but I'm wondering about migration from cPanel to Plesk in the same server. I see Plesk has an official migration tool addon that can migrate from cPanel to Plesk but all the official...

Why does Plesk have to constantly try to upsell you?

I love using Plesk, but I hate how after I give it nearly £50 a month for the software (which is a bit overpriced then, imo), it still tries to upsell me with stupid stuff I don't need, like how the only way to get the maximum score through the security advisor is pay for a piece of software. I've kind of gone off Plesk now for that sole reason.

How to set default country for customer creation dialog?

Normally on our servers when we log in with the German language and create a new customer, the default country for that customer was "Germany".

Since the latest micro update this is no longer working. Now the default country is always "United States".

I am seeking a way to set this to "Germany" again. So far I did not find any article on this in the knowledge base, neither anything on the forum. Does anybody know how to set the default country for the customer creation dialog?

MariaDB upgrade error

Hi,
in a few words: Today I made the upgrade of MariaB from 10.3.19 (from 10.3.18). Two hours later I also made the libmariadb3 upgrade.
During the upgrade the question came, if I want to replace the /etc/mysql/my.cnf.
I hit D for showing the differences. After examination, I wanted to hit: Keep the currently-installed version.
But however I hit the wrong letter "N" for no.
It installed the new one, which I later replaced by the old one. It seems everything okay with the upgrade.

Hello,


I have a simple Homepage hostet with plesk Onyx for Windows.
We have migrated from an old Plesk 8.2. to Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 Update #72

Everything is working fine, but donwload links are not working when the file name contain a "+" character.



For example:


http://download.mydomain.com/datasheets/en/401-+EN_en.pdf

I got error message 404


when he downloadlink is (without "+" character)

http://download.mydomain.com/datasheets/en/401-EN_en.pdf

It works....

After having upgraded to Plesk Obsidian i have the following error:

I've tried deploying the various Plesk options on the Google Cloud Marketplace and they all have a similar error when it's time to deploy:

Error in Plesk phpmyadmin

Hi,

phpmyadmin that is shipped with plesk is showing the following error lines:

Code:
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'pma_CtSAyveCoLOd'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
If I look in the mysql user table I can't find the user "pma_CtSAyveCoLOd", but I can find the user "pma_QuFhnxC2BU3q". phpmyadmin is working, but can I fix this?

awstats not updating since update

Hi,

Since the update, awstats did not update and this month gives a 404 Error (the update was on Oct 26). When I do a manual forced update for one domain, it gives this error. I tried to remove awstats and install it again, but with the same issue. When I choose webalizer for the domain, the stats get updated correctly without errors.

Hello,

Is it possible to change the DocumentRoot of an existing website so that it is considered as home directory and everything within httpdocs is no longer accessible via the domain?

I only want to change this for some of my websites and NOT set it as default.
