It's not a bug, but it's a bit annoying.:On Obsidian no day passes on which we don't get a call or support ticket from a customer who is blocked by fail2ban because his website offended some Comodo basic ModSecurity rule. We have seen it on Wordpress websites frequently when customers simply use the Wordpress editor, we've also seen it in shop systems. We have also seen it in Nextcoud installations.

It is always these two rules:

and sometimes a third, that may vary.

All send emails marked as spam by google, hotmail..

Hello all,
I have a VPS with a loo of domains, almost all of them have email service enabled. The emails that are send are marked as spam, I have read trough the forum but I am not able to solve it.
I already made the mail-tester.com and it give me a score of 100. I already checked my SPF and PTR and everything is fine, so I have no idea what the problem could be.

Is there a command line feature to generate a random password when using the customer/subscription/mail CLI utilities? Or a way to update to a random password after the creation of those things is done?

plesk-bad-bot banned a website ip

Hi, i had 502 nginx bad gateway error on 1 domain.

After several test, I notice the website ip was banned by fail2ban as 'plesk-bad-bot'

Someone can explain me what happened?

Migrate from shared cPanel to my Plesk Server

I have a couple of clients hosted on a shared account cPanel (siteground) and want to trasfer them over to my own Plesk server.
I've used the website transfer tool before, worked ok, but now I need to transfer both websites and e-mails. As the cpanel is shared, I do not have root access to that server.

What would be the best way to make the move?

Hey guys,

following basis:
1. I'm running myplesk.com with Plesk installed on it.
2. I'm using Cloudflare to point myplesk.com to the EC2 instance Plesk is on.
3. With Plesk I'm managing all webprojects and their domains.
4. I created a new subscription and domain called myprojectdomain.com
5. I'm also using Cloudflare to point to the same IP as Plesk where also myprojectdomain.com is hosted on.

My question now:

There is a wp-config.php file on the WordPress files. You need to locate it via panel admin or FTP credentials
  • Go to the Root directory of the server file
  • Search wp-config.php file in the root directory

We've had these reports from some of our clients, they're receiving emails that look like this:

Subject: <plesk Application Updates.

Updates were not installed for the following items:

1. Website "/staging" (domain1.com.au): Failed to reset cache
for the instance #5

2. Website "/staging" (domain2.net.au): Failed to reset cache
for the instance #27

Failed to update Plesk

When I perform an update of Plesk, the message “Failed to update Plesk” appears on top of the page.

In the “autoinstaller3.log” I see the following:
[2019-01-07 09:34:47.142839] Patches were installed successfully.
[2019-01-07 09:34:47.144499] The changes were applied successfully.

However at the end of the file I see a few rules with the message:
ProductInf3FileGuard destroyed. Build didn't change

My questions are:
  • Do I have to worry about that
  • What do these messages mean...

Hello, on Obsidian, when trying to import mailboxes via IMAP I got these errors:

Failed to connect to the source server and copy mail messages
Command execution failed on the local server with non-zero exit code.

Change main IP in plesk server, additional question

Hello everybody,

I follow this article to change main plesk IP and all works perfect. Also I removed the old IP from the server manually. All worked perfectly. But I have a question

I did it in a debian server and the new IP I configure in Plesk has a different mask and a different gateway than the old IP. But in the support article you don´t update the mask or the Gateway...

Hello,

Impossible to update from 18.0.26 to 18.0.27 :

- First i can see : 2020-05-13_16h58_29.jpg
And finally : see the attached log...

- When I try to "Update Components" (PHP interpreter versions...), i get the error : "The Yum utility failed to install the required packages"

Hi, after after update to 18.0.27 from .26 I have a lot of critical memory warnings:

The memory usage status is critical!
The current value is 55.05 GiB

The memory mainly is used by Apache php fpm service, what could cause it?

Hi! I have a domain hosted in netlify with ssl.
The mail DNS in the domain registrant is pointing to my vps.
I try to get a certificate only for the mail domain in PLESK, but i always get an error:

Could not issue an SSL/TLS certificate for example.com
Details
Could not request a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for example.com.
