Confused on admin role

Hi, I rent a couple of servers from my provider and manage them all through Plesk.

All have been recently installed and are uptodate on Linux/Obsidian.

On one server, I decided to not use admin as the main administrator account but rather xyz.

The xyz account even though set to full administrator rights does not give me all the options in the sidebar that the admin users on the other machines get. Why?

The admin account actually exists and I want to switch to it now given the hassles of...

Import website into Plesk server as of now plain.

Earlier, Plesk 9.x version I had installed Plesk on server having plain server with website and Plesk detected its and imported to vhost as it has asked for the same as it had detected, is this feature still available.

lot of server are plain servers and want to shift to Plesk but not to carry out manually.

Backup problem after upgrade to Obsidian 18.0.40

Since the upgrade to Obsidian 18.0.40 my daily backups do not work without error messages. Does anyone know what these messages mean and how to solve the problem?

The errors are:

Plesk with two external Name Servers

Hallo my name is Ivan, I am new to Plesk. I have created two external name servers with BIND, one as primary and one as a secondary. My question is, is it possible to turn of Plesk hosting the dns and just syncing to primary name server? I have switched of DNS on Plesk but then the zone does not get synced to primary server, am I missing something or chasing my own tail. I only want to use Plesk for creating account and adding dns records don't want to add it manually on primary server...

Bug with file editor from logs in subdomain

Hi devs !

I have a bug in file editor in sub domains when i click on a link of a file in logs, it tells me that the file isn't in that place even if it's right here, if i go with the file explorer in plesk, the file is here. same problem for all subdomains with php files, txt files...
It works perfectly when it's on principal domain.

Massive price increase for reseller licenses?

Today, my Plesk license reseller informed me that they need to increase the Plesk license fees due to a massive increase in fees they need to pay for the Plesk licenses.
Looking at the prices, this feels ridiculously expensive and rather like massive profiteering on the side of plesk.com!

My current price for a WebPro VPS license: 4.99 € / month
New price for a WebPro license (VPS version has been discontinued): 13.50 € / month.
Thats a "small" increase of 270%.

Plesk uses local storage for backup (instead of FTP server)

My server makes full backups every week (and incremental backups daily) to an external FTP server. This FTP server has 12.16 TB free space (the last full backup was 327 GB) and there are no restriction for the FTP user or specific folder. I've tested the FTP username and password and verified that these are correct. There weren't any problem before.

Hello,
I have Mod security enabled on the server. Recently, we've been getting daily bots from cortex/1.0 bot (faceboook). WAF is on and set to comdo Free, and predefined to FAST. I have added some custom rules in the custom directives to limit that user-agent, from a solution I saw online used in Apache.p Site is using Apache-FPM, serve static files by Nginx and nginx caching are not enabled. Only proxy mode and static file processing are enabled.

Problems with backups

Hi, I am having problems when making backups. It generates an error and I get this message:

Internal error
ERROR: Plesk\Exception\Database: DB query failed: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1021 Disk full ...

Can anyone tell me why this might be? I have increased the space but it seems that the error is coming from somewhere else.

Sudden mysql performance drop on plesk server

Hello , I have a issue with mysql performance , mysql cpu time multiplied by x3 , this started suddenly. I didn't changed any config , didnt update server , it just started suddenly.


My server with problem is 32 core . I have lot of free ram.

For test purposes I added 1000 row to empty mysql table in php foreach loop. It took 0.6 seconds.

I did same test with 8 core server and it took 0.2 seconds.

When I performed these tests there were no traffic at all on both servers , load...
