Subject: Varnish with Docker Not Connecting to Backend – Error 503

Hi,

I’ve followed the official Plesk instructions for configuring Varnish with Magento 2 ( How to configure varnish cache for a domain in Plesk? - Support Cases from Plesk Knowledge Base ), and also checked other guides like the one on dx3webs.com (both are simimlar Configure Varnish for Magento 2 on Plesk ), but I’m encountering several issues.

Managing traffic by cloudflare

Hello, I didn't know how to find a title. For this reason, I want to explain briefly, I put an ip restriction for ports 8443 and 8880 of the plesk server. It could only be accessed with extra ip, so I wanted to return all traffic through proxy because I use cloudflare. There is no access to port 80 and 443 from normal ip. I wonder if the settings in the image are correct?

WP Toolkit Unable to download package from wordpress.org

Hello,

I'm relatively new to Plesk, I got dedicated with Ubuntu 22.06b and latest Plesk Version 18.0.60 Update #1.

I installed the extension WP-Toolkit and when I try to make a new installation I'm getting this error:

Unable to download the WordPress 6.5.2 package from wordpress.org. Please try again later or contact the server administrator.

Looking into this I couldn't find any other information or solution for this issue. Here is from the action log:

I have Cockpit installed on AlmaLinux 9 to control the server at a basic level, without add-ons.

And Plesk to control the different hosts and websites.

How can I access cockpit without using the server's IP, with a sumdomain?

issue 502 : error while loading shared libraries

Hi,
I've got
Server Error

502 Bad Gateway​

when i try to log in into my plesk interface
in ssh i try to make a

plesk repair all -v

but i've got his error :

/usr/bin/sw-engine: error while loading shared libraries: libPocoFoundation.so.94: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


exit status 12

Any idea to fix it.

How to set Backup Manager to run at custom time frames

We have the Plesk Backup Manager.

The Backup Manager runs at : Daily / Weekly / Monthly ,

This is not very nuanced. We need the backups to run every other day; EG Monday / Wednesday / Friday / Sunday / tuesday / Thursday / Saturday / Monday .... at a set time.
Or possibly every 3 days ; Monday / Thursday / Sunday / Wednesday / Saturday / Tuesday / Friday / Monday....

How can we give a custom Cron schedule such as this to Backup Manager?

The Plesk Help pages don't say ANYTHING about...

Can't reissue LE certificate

Hello,

I'm having an problem reissuing LE certificate:
I have a main domain an alias and 6 subdomains.

When I try to reissue the certificate, main domain is secured but alias domain and subdomains are not secured. I'm getting the following error message :

Could not issue an SSL/TLS certificate for mydomain.com
Could not issue a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for mydomain.com. Authorization for the domain failed.

Deprecations of Simple DNS Plus and BIND components for Plesk for Windows

Hi,

I just want to remind that we have the Feature Deprecation Plan (Feature Deprecation Plan).

Currently, the most important thing for Plesk for Windows in the Plan is deprecating BIND DNS component by March 2024. If you use BIND DNS, it makes sense to plan migration to Microsoft DNS Server.

(BIND v9.16 is going to be EOLed in Jan 2024. BIND v9.18 will not support Windows; https://kb.isc.org/docs/supported-platforms)

P.S. Simple DNS Plus is not an option to migrate to...

Hi there,
first of all: my english isn't very good, I'm sorry for that.
I'm using Obsidian 18.0.69 Update #3 on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS and no external email service.
The email configuration checks tell me DKIM isn't correct. I had changed the DKIM-Selector for generate a new key for DNS settings. I can't find the page again, but after their troubleshooting tip I installed and reinstalled DNS bind. Now on configuration check says DNS caching is deactivate. Like the instruction for DNS-BIND-Server...

Constantly increasing Mysql memory usage problem

I have 2 ubuntu servers over IONOS. One of them is 6 y.o and two of my wordpress sites use near 270 mb mysql memory.

But my new server alarmed 6 months ago and i discovered mysql memory usage increased over 7 GB. I reset it many times and check these:

*Php configuration
*Nginx conf.
*Php version and php.ini
*Ubuntu/Alma
*InnoDB conf
*migrated a good copy of site (from my old server) to my new server and increased same as old scenario.

What is wrong with me? There is one...

Server optimization ?

Hi,

It seems to have an optimization process running at 1 a.m.
Sometimes it makes the website a little slower, sometimes it's faster.

Performance booster is enabled.

What exactly is tweaked to pass the "Remote server processing" from 60ms to 110 ms to 50 ms some days later ?

It's the same at the same time for +5 websites.

Backup Manger for sub domains ???

hello,
plesk do not have a backup mangaer for sub domains ?

the problem is:
in the backups from the main domain are only the log files from the main domain,

but not logfiles from any sub domain ;-(

have anybody a solution ?

Hey!

I have built a small free tool where you can easily import a combination of Spamhaus-DROP-List and FireHOL Level 1 as a Plesk-Firewall rule (json file).

Kombinierte DROP-Liste für Plesk-Firewall

This should be updated from time to time.

If there is a timeout when applying the rule, I have placed a note at the bottom of the page where and how the time can be extended.

Have fun with it, I am also happy about feedback.
