How to update mySQL version without dying in the attempt

Hello, I have a version on my old mySQL server and I would like to know if updating with Centos 6 will lose the databases or it is dangerous to do so.
I'm afraid of losing all databases and spoiling something.

If it is simple please tell me how to do it.

Error when using plesk "security-advisor" extention

When start the "security-advisor" extention and we select a domain and then click "secure with with Let's Encrypt", then we get the following error:

Error: Execution letsencrypt-async.sh has failed with exit code 126, stdout: , stderr: sh: /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/modules/security-advisor/letsencrypt-async.sh: Permission denied

What is wrong?

Note: lets encrypt works without any problem when started from the domain setting.

Multi Server Configuration - Whats allowed on the management node

Hi all,

we will switch next days to plesk onyx multiserver, but there is still some questions left from my side.

I know that we need a dedicated server only for the management with the same configuration as the hosting nodes as well with a plesk license and a multiserver license everywhere, and hosting is not allowed on the management server.

1) Can I install docker containers on the management node?
2) Can I run the primary DNS Server on the management node?
3) Can I run the mail server...

Hi

We've set up a demo installation of Plesk Multiserver to eventually replace our PPA platform but after creating our first customer and logging in to the CP, it immediately redirects the pageto the actual service node they are deployed on. This is NOT how we expected things to work and it is not at all like PPA where logging into the CP server, you remain in the CP server in the browser and not directed all over the place.

I hope Plesk Multiserver are planning to change this.

Where is my database stored?

I was expection my database to be stored in /var/lib/mysql

I do see some configuration files in there, but I don't see the mydb.sql file itself.

Where should I be looking?

nginx stops and starts. seeing this error in /var/log/nginx/error.log:

FTP-User - rights

Hello guys,

at the moment we have problems with our Plesk Onyx installation. Our customer has created an FTP user with the subdirectory "dev". If he upload files with this FTP user he get an "Respuesta: 550 VERSION: Permission denied" error but if he use his FTP user with the normal base directory (/) is the upload possible.

Do you have ideas? :)

Hello;

I have an hosting account with nameserver details ns1.maindomain.com ns2.maindomain.com but whenever i add a new domain it creates its own nameserver ns1.subdomain.com ns2.subdomain.com is there a way to fix this?

hello.
i got 2-3 times a day the cpu alert red for about 20 minutes. this is a fresh server with about 12 abonnements , 15 Domains, 8 cpus and 16gb ram. that shouldnt be?

ONYX slow on adding domains or changing settings

Dear all,

recently we migrated the majority of our servers from Plesk 12.5 to ONYX.

Adding domains, changing domain settings or e.g. adding a certificate within the controlpanel takes much longer compared to Plesk 12.5 - resulting in Bad Gateway errors and such. We have already added Webserver Restart delay 60 seconds, graceful restart in the PSA database etc. with no positive effect.

It seems like the errors occur just at the time when the config is changed after clicking ok even though...

Hi Community,
I stuck with Migration Manager error on my t2.micro instance. I'm using trial Plesk Onyx license for it.
The goal is evaluate migration process from dedicated server to Amazon EC2
Migration fails with following error

Previously all our web customers were setup to access their SFTP using the shell /bin/bash(chrooted). As of 2-17-17 it was working for everyone. The following Monday 2-20-17 it was not. This issue is affecting ALL domains that used /bin/bash(chrooted) as the shell.

When trying to connect via my ftp client cyberduck, FTP error: EOF while reading packet. Please contact your web hosting service provider for assistance.

When trying to connect via SSH on command line, error: Could not chdir to...

I need this Modul, its unavailable OBA the Registrar InternetX.
according to the official list is the core inclusive but in my server / account the Registra Modil is unfortunately not available .
How can I make the update?

full hostname in plesk

Hello plesk forum!

Trying to read on the forum and understand what I should do with the full hostname in plesk, makes me even more confused.
We recently rent a dedicated server and successfully complete the subscription migration from our old sharing hosting. Now I see that the full hostname in server settings, is set to localhost.localdomain.

I carefully read the below post but I'm bit afraid of messing things up....
