Ddos Attacks and Fail2ban

Hello, I hope I am in right place to ask this.
I am new to Plesk and I have followed the guides to resolve my problem but no luck yet.

My issue is that my website is under continuous ddos attacks from one specific country. I have tried Fail2ban but it "failed" to do the job. I am also covered by cloudflare but the attackers must have gotten through that.

I keep blocking the IPs manually through the Firewall. I don't even know how to set a range of IPs for that specific country.

AWSTATS: deactivate dont delete webstat files in logs

I have deactivated AWSTATS and wont use it anymore. I see hat 4 files in logs still exists.
access_ssl_log.webstat 36GB
access_log.webstat 22GB
webstat_tiSpbz 8GB
webstat_BeFxlq 5GB

It is save(recommand way) to delete this files manualy?

ModSecurity is Enabled but is not Working on Windows

Hello There,

On one of my Windows servers which is powered by Plesk Onyx, I've noticed that one of my websites was hacked by SQL Injection. I've checked it and found out that ModSecurity is not working at all.

In %plesk_dir%\ModSecurity\vhosts\... The last log was written in about two months ago.

I've removed modsecurity and installed it once again, also changed rulesets from OWASP to Comodo (as custom ruleset) and ... but nothing helped.

Is there anyone who could help me with this...

Logrotate not working for subdomains?

Source: Log Rotation

I found, that plesk onyx only create in /usr/local/psa/etc/logrotate.d for domains a logrotate file, not for subdomains!?

Example: I have a subdomain /var/www/vhosts/system/cdn.example.de/logs with
access_ssl_log.processed 94GB (updated 09:53am, after server is now down)
access_log.processed 46GB (updated 09:53am, after server is now down)

Hi all,
I have a problem with method of delivering backup to clients in Plesk 12.x on Linux.
When clients want to download the backup file of their website, it takes time for Plesk to prepare it for download and shows download dialog box to clients.
Sometime it takes more than minutes (based on the size of backup file) and clients click again on download link again and again!
This behavior causes Plesk to run multiple processes for dumping backup file in /var/tmpfs and fills the storage and...

Subdomain logs are not rotated

Hi,

I'm running Plesk 12.5.30 (Update 40) on CentOS 7.2.1511, with latest updates installed for both Plesk and OS.

I found out that Plesk is missing correct log rotation rules for subdomain HTTP access logs (both logs from Apache and Nginx). I did some digging and there is no any configurations for subdomain log rotation in /usr/local/psa/etc/logrotate.d.

Let's say that domain I'm hosting with Plesk is domain.tld and subdomain under this domain is subdomain.domain.tld. Subdomain is used...

Can't get php versions to serve .html as php

I have Plesk 12.5 running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with php 5.5 out of the box. I added PHP 5.6 via plesk so I can run a site on this instead of 5.5.
The site currently runs with php as apache module and unfortunately plesk only installs FPM & fastcgi.

Just set up new onyx server and copied backup from 12.5. On restore to different server I am getting

We have released the new version of Let's Encrypt extension - v1.3.

Changes include:
  1. Debian 6 is now supported
  2. No more conflicts with alt-python-virtualenv on CloudLinux
  3. Extension now ignores unsupported domains:
    1. Inactive (disabled/suspended) domains
    2. Wildcard subdomains

Create a postgres database with same name of user

Hello

I can not create a postgres database with same name of user on Plesk 17.5.3 Linux.

For example
If I want to create the database dbtest with user dbtest I get the following error:

Erro: Falha na conexão com o servidor de banco de dados: ERROR: role "dbtest" already exists

This is normal?

Can somebody help me?

New install of Plesk 12.5 on Centos 7

when I put this into bash: service xinetd status
it returns that the service is "Active"

I run: tail -f /var/log/messages

Then, I run: telnet 127.0.0.1 21
and I immediately get "Connection closed by foreign host."

Then /var/log/messages returns:

Plesk update this morning overwrote main DB ini file with default

All sites offline as a result. Support ticket server was down when I tried to log a support case, so I assumed this was very wide-spread.

Was this just me? I expected some discussion here if it was wide-spread.

Ultimately an easy fix to point the my.ini file back to the real data directory once I'd worked it out...

Incoming mail stays in queue permanently

Hello all
I've configured a mail account on a new instance of Plesk Onyx. Outgoing mail is fine, using webmail or a mail client. But incoming mail is permanently queued, no matter who the sender is.
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
