[PPPM-4543] Can't give clients ability to change php version with out overriding provider's policy

Firstly I'm unsure if this is a bug, or a feature request.

Its currently not possible for clients to select custom PHP builds added to a server. If you have added any custom php build for any reason e.g. plesk does not ship one for the OS used or you want to customize it these can not be selected by the clients.

Currently the only way to grant these capabilities is to also check the option 'Setup of potentially insecure web scripting options that override provider's policy'...

Wordpress Database

After building a site on a proofing domain using the word press wizard in a clients control panel and then exporting the database to be setup under the live domain.

All the tables in the database are there but showing as zero bytes !!
And now the site will not run obviously.

Any ideas why this would happen would be great..

Wordpress Toolkit scan stopped

Hi,

On a server with lot of Wordpress installations (about 500), the Wordpress scan is failing. It stay stopped at 8% and I have only 40 installations found.
I have tried 3 times, but each time I have the same problem.

Is there any log of this scan? Or is it possible to run it in CLI (maybe in verbose)?

Virtual host directories missing

Hello all,

I created a new domain on Plesk 12.5.30 and the new directories created for hosting are:

error_docs
httpdocs
logs

So there are some directories missing like:

anon_ftp
cgi-bin
private
subdomains
web_users

My other domains have these directories in place. So what i am missing here?

Reason for "Unable to perform the sync."?

CentOS, Plesk 12.5.32

Lately when syncing service packages we see: "Unable to perform the sync."
No further details given.

We have tried to create a new service package and move accounts into that package, but syncing does not work there, either. Even when no changes are done to a package, the error still appears when saving the package definitions. It's been working before, no configuration changes were made meanwhile. Syncing only works if a package has not any accounts to it, but of...

Cron in virtual server with Plesk 12.5 can't find the find command

I'm trying to setup a simple cron job from Plesk GUI to delete the contents of a dir every day.

with:

find /var/www/vhosts/domain.name/httpdocs/var/session -name 'sess*' -type f -print -delete

when I run it all I get is " find command not found"

What I am trying to accomplish is to create a user account for one of our developers that has access to all of our client website files via SFTP (or even FTPS), without giving them administrator privileges or access to the server filesystem

I'm very much new to Plesk which is in this case installed on CentOS 6 and Plesk Version 12.0.18.

Basically, I initially had trouble where everytime i tried to load webmail.domain.tld i would have a DNS error, I've resolved this by correcting the DNS settings on my domain and now i can login to the webmail and recieve emails. Now, whether i use Horde or Roundcube i get this authentication error for my SMTP. I'm very new to this stuff and i'm not sure where my log files are or what the...

How can i check where my current license for DrWeb is?

I received a couple of important postmaster reports from Dr.Web that a virus has been found in a user his mailbox on my server. Attached below are relevant details. I have been looking into the situation and tried to find the source and a solution.

According to my server logs i have some unattended outbound or inbound ftp traffic on my server which should not be there.

I'm looking for a way to specify 2 different ssl certificates for 2 different webmail accounts (webmail.domainA.tld & webmail.domainB.tld) BUT the default certificate always seems to apply


Tools & Settings | SSL Certificates | 1 Self-signed Cert for webmail.domainA.tld & 1 for webmail.domainB.tld

Why remove the ability to set cgi-bin to webspace?

Can someone from Plesk answer the question as to why the ability to set the cgi-bin location to webspace was removed? cgi-bin has historically, back to the 90's, always been outside of the document root, and for very good reason, which is the fact that cgi scripts may rely on supporting files that you do not want retrievable via web request. With it removed from the web interface, it means customers who aren't tech saavy will likely expose files they didn't mean to, and those that are now...

Adding SSL Certificate doesn't work

Hello,

i'm having trouble getting a SSL Certificate (issued by RapidSSL) to work on the following system:

OS: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Plesk 12.5.30

When i try the following steps: "Domains" -> "[Domainname]" -> "SSL Certificate" -> "Add SSL Certificate" and enter all the relevant data (Name of Certificate, private key, certificate and intermediate certificate) and submit the form i get the following error message:

"Error: Unable to find row with id 0 in certificates table."...

Adding SSL Certificate doesn't work

hello,

i've installed Magento 2 on plesk 12.5.30, but it is not success and i think the mean reason is that magento required the webserver user to be the owner of the files but which is not the case in plesk...

any solution?

PHP script injections, can Plesk help me find the culprit

Hi all, my server is compromised as every day I can see malicous PHP scripts created and burried in some websites. I'm able to find these from the access log, looking for POST requests on unusual PHP locations (example : POST /assets/images/actus/start.php HTTP/1.0). So I've created a fail2ban filter to ban IP accessing these URLs but this doesnt stop the root cause of infection.
Can Plesk help me understand how those scripts are created ?
