Monit and Plesk

Plesk version: 12.5
OS: Ubuntu 14.04

I have been trying to configure monit to watch apache with the following configuration, but it does not seems to be working.

check process apache with pidfile /run/apache2.pid
start program = "/etc/init.d/apache2 start" with timeout 60 seconds
stop program = "/etc/init.d/apache2 stop"​

throws an error 'Does not exist Service apache'

Any help greatly appreciated

How To Add Multiple Disks

Hi

We're installing a server with HDD's and SSD's. The SSD's have been used for OS, Plesk and also for customer data. Now we would like to add the built-in HDDs.

I will prepare the 2x2 TB disks (partitions, raid1, lvm) like I did with the SSD's.
  • How can I mount the volume to Plesk? Where does Plesk expect the disks to be mounted?
  • How can I handle, which domain is located on SSD's and which is not? Is there a possibility to use the subscriptions (Hosting HDD 10 GB, Hosting SSD...

Was anybody able to setup Kolab 16 under Plesk 12.5 on Centos 7???

Hi there,

i was trying to setup Kolab 16 under Plesk 12.5 on Centos 7 but without success.
The install went fine but setup was not successful because of the not available root mysql user.
I couldnt find a way to get it working but maybe someone else already has?!
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

Rollback php 7 to previous version

Hi,

Is there a way that I can rollback from php 7.0.6 to PHP 7.0.5 as there is an issue with using 7.0.6 with a Joomla forum component. The developers have confirmed it's been fixed in PHP 7.0.7 but that is only in RC at the moment.

My server is a centos 7 box.

Problems with Magento 2

On my VPS I have two Magento 2 test installs.
Both installs begin to return the error below:
There has been an error processing your request
Exception printing is disabled by default for security reasons.
Error log record number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

As I said these are some test installs and I removed this instalations and now when I try to install it again I get this error at the end of instalation:

After login redirect to create subscription

hello,

sorry for my english!

after the update to odin 12.5 i always be redirect after the login to the page with "website informations" to create a new webspace /server/create_subscription.php but i dont want that. If i cancel that then follow a redirect to login screen and it starts the same.

the server configuration was before the update correct and the webspaces/vhost/domains are still available, whats wrong?

DNS error subdomains not presents - error: ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

HI,

I am new to Plesk and the truth is I'm a bit lost with the setup, almost convinced that I have not put something good, but I need help.
The problem is that subdomains are not in the network can reach subdomains of the primary name server, but not to those of domains hosted on the server.
Here's an example of the results for two domains, one server name and another one that is hosted on the server.

Server: webserveritk.com
http://verdns.com/webserveritk.com...

Plesk Panel Users root and admin

Hi there,

I can login in my Plesk Panel with the users root and admin. But I cannot change the password for root there. If I'm logged in the Panel as root and click on "Change Password" (translated, might be different because I use German language) the password changes for the user admin. Or do I have to change the password for the root user in Plesk Panel on the command line of the server with "passwd" - is the local root user of the server the same as the root user in Plesk Panel?

Hello,

when I make a back up using plesk I Always get this:

Not all the data was backed up into /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/herman3/domains/place2chat.com/databases/herman3_2015_1 successfully. mysqldump: Couldn't execute 'SHOW FUNCTION STATUS WHERE Db = 'herman3_2015'': Cannot load from mysql.proc. The table is probably corrupted (1548)

Can some one tell me in understandable English what I could do to fix this, My own language is Dutch so to technical English I don't...

I have worked hard on my nginx configurations and for all the packages I (or my clients) have in use I have developed nginx configs which pass nothing through to Apache - all static requests are delivered directly, and PHP is passed by nginx directly to PHP-FPM.

This is mean 'n lean and works real fine. But now I have the problem that on virtual servers I keep overrunning the virtualised system resources (user beancounters: tcpsndbuf, numothersock, shmpages etc.) while using only a fraction...

Redis module for PHP 7.0.1 and 7.0.2

@Everyone interested,

I have compiled and tested a redis module that works like a charm on PHP 7.0.1.

I have added a ZIP file, with two files:

- redis.so (the redis module for PHP 7.0.1)
- redis.php (a test script to check yourselves whether the module is working)

The module can be installed by following the steps:

a) upload the ZIP file to a directory on your server

b) run from the command line: echo "extension=<path to directory>/redis.so" > /opt/plesk/php/7.0/etc/php.d/redis.ini...

i would like to configure some of the extensions (like lets encrypt) that they are only available for some customers with specified abonnements like "gold hosting".

Is there a way to do that?

I represent a digital marketing agency. We also do custom website design and hosting for our clients on our plesk server.

What I am trying to accomplish is to create a user account for one of our developers that has access to all of our client website files via SFTP (or even FTPS), without giving them administrator privileges or access to the server filesystem

fail2ban does not start: Unable to remove PID file

I am not able to start fail2ban anymore. It always crashes while it starts.

Error:
Code:
Unable to remove PID file: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/run/fail2ban/fail2ban.pid'
The directory /var/run/fail2ban/ exists. The PID file does not exist. If I create it it will be deleted but the error still occurs. This is crazy.

I also tried to reinstall fail2ban over the Plesk Installer - the issue still occurs.

My system: Debian 8.4, Plesk 12.5.30 Update...

Firstly I'm unsure if this is a bug, or a feature request.

Its currently not possible for clients to select custom PHP builds added to a server. If you have added any custom php build for any reason e.g. plesk does not ship one for the OS used or you want to customize it these can not be selected by the clients.

Currently the only way to grant these capabilities is to also check the option 'Setup of potentially insecure web scripting options that override provider's policy'...

Official support if reseller doesn't give support

There are a lot of Plesk license resellers who not give any kind of support for Plesk (in any versions).
That because I am really missing the official support here. Hopefully that one day we can have official support from Odin / Plesk Team if the reseller does not provide any kind of support.

Postfix don't send with port 25 anymore

Good day everybody.
Yesterday suddenly my server running plesk 12.0.18 on Centos stopped to send emails with port 25.
But port 587 with TLS is working.
Also webmail doesn't send emails.

Email client deliver following error: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first

No update made, nothing changed, just from one day to another!
I've switch to Qmail and it's working, but I don't feel safe with qmail.

Anyone have this problem?
